About Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier
A 976-foot Atlantic pier that's become the centerpiece of Deerfield Beach's oceanfront district, complete with a bait shop, fish-cleaning stations, an underwater camera, and educational plaques identifying the ten most commonly caught species.
Regulars pull in snook, redfish, pompano, tarpon, mackerel, snapper, and crevalle jack, with occasional bigger surprises β smoker kings, sailfish, and African pompano have all been reported.
The city updated pier pricing in 2026 to include free or discounted access for veterans, active military, and first responders; all visitors, including those with complimentary access, must check in at the pier bait shop before entering. The pier is open daily, with fee-based access for both walking and fishing.
Researched and verified August 2026. Hours, fees and access change β and Florida piers are regularly closed by storm damage β so confirm with the operator before travelling.
